Legislators and Golf Industry Reps Connect on Oregon Golf Day

The Golf Alliance of Oregon hosted Oregon Golf Day on May 16 at Illahe Hills Country Club in Salem. The function was an opportunity for the state’s legislators to meet with golf industry representatives to discuss the important and crucial benefits of the golf industry in the state of Oregon.

“It was a valuable time for the golf industry to share (with lawmakers) the impactful programs we collectively have in place,” OGA CEO Barb Trammell said.

The evening began with a networking reception for lawmakers, golf industry experts and other business leaders. That was followed by a presentation provided by Trammell, on behalf of the Golf Alliance of Oregon, which highlighted ways the golf industry is positively impacting the state.

Partnering associations of the Golf Alliance of Oregon are the Oregon Golf Association; Oregon Golf Course Owners Association; Oregon Golf Course Superintendents; Pacific Northwest PGA – Oregon Chapter and Club Managers of Oregon.
