The Oregon Golf Association, in partnership with the Oregon PGA, will host its second annual Junior Golf Club Swap Meet on Saturday, March 4 from 10am-3pm at the OGA Golf Course in Woodburn.
The event, which allows youth golfers to swap old clubs for new ones at little or no cost, is open to players of all skill levels ages 18 and under. Youth in attendance will have access to free range balls, putting green games, inflatable targets, individual tips from PGA pros and much more. The giant, inflatable Golfzilla will be making a special appearance as well.
“We are excited to host the Junior Golf Club Swap Meet once again,” Oregon Golf Association CEO Barb Trammell said. “Last year we outfitted over 125 kids with equipment and bags and this year we hope to increase those numbers to reach even more children, providing them with the gift of golf.”
The purpose for the Junior Golf Club Swap Meet is to match youth golfers with age-appropriate equipment to help make the game more enjoyable.
The event is in need of donations and will be accepting new and used club contributions from the general public through the end of February. Please only donate equipment (wedges, irons, woods, bags, etc.) in ready-to-use condition for youth golfers.
